The school board meeting tonight was very inspiring and warmed my heart just knowing that I'm part of this great program that no other school district has. After seeing the tremendous amount of support from the school board and sponsors, I have the deep urge of showing them that this student from Pinole Valley High School can compete and show others that no matter what your background is, dreams are still a possibility. Again, I would like to thank Mr. Ramsey and the school board for their continuing dedication towards this program even though they may be tired of hearing this over and over again. It's just that I'm very grateful for them to create and sponsor such a special program.
The speakers were excellent tonight. Irene, the speaker's name was Tamy Campbell who is one of our most dedicated parent at Pinole Valley High School. And I also have to agree to what she says; that we, the students, are the seeds of the future and we must make sacrifices to allow for students to become those leaders in the world and to guide others. Again, thank you Mr. Ramsey, the school board, the sponsors, and everyone who made not only my dream become reality but others as well.

ReplyDeleteIt seems that feel a true sense of obligation to this program. I appreciate and thank you for your deep and sincere desire to make us proud. I want you to make us proud and I hope that you bring back valuable lessons from your time at Brown University.
We are dedicated to the program and to the students because we believe that you have the talents and the skills to get it done and to make the most of this opportunity. Going to the East Coast is not easy and a student has to have a good dose of maturity to stand up and to do well. You all have the right stuff and all of you have the ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
Remember do not feel the need to make us proud. Do this for yourself and be yourself. The board meeting showed you how much we, as adults and as elected officials, believe in you and believe in your talents. I want you to be on the right side of history and to one day look back at this period of time with pride.
This school district matters and this school district can inspire and get the very best out of our kids. I am appreciative and grateful that you felt this being part of this program has been beneficial to you, as well as to others.
